Sterilization Bags and Breather Sheets


Sterilization Bags are used in pharmaceutical and medical industries where FDA Class 100 clean sterilization/packaging is required. The bags handle virtually any materials required for sterilization up to 123 C (128 peak) for extended periods. The Breather Sheet serves as lidding for the majority of containers.

Sterilization Bags are fabricated from a slitted 3 mil polypropylene sheet, with a heat-sealed Tyvek® breather strip which is then sealed to a second polypropylene sheet to form a bag or tube.

Polypropylene is an excellent all-purpose Level I packaging film that provides good abrasion resistance and superior film seal strength. Tyvek 1059B is a pharmaceutical grade material that provides an excellent barrier to dust and bacteria with thermal stability for dry heat or autoclave sterilization.

Product Attributes
-Sterilizable by steam, ethylene oxide and dry heat

-Bags and lids are cleaned and packaged in a Class 10/100 clean room

-Clean Room Products Level I. (Other government, industry and company specs available upon request.)

-Excellent alternative to cumbersome stainless steel autoclave canisters

-Bags are less expensive, and easier to handle and store

-Transparent, for convenient visual inspection

-Exceptional pliability enables operators to separate "coagulated" products without opening the pouch 


-Bags and sheets in a variety of standard and custom sizes


-Custom thicknesses available


-Breather dimensions: 4" wide.


-Breather location: Center of bag or sheet.

-Cleanliness level: Clean Room Products Level I.

-Final packaging: Triple barrier packaged with inner nylon and two polyethylene bags.

-Film is milky translucent and is certified to Clean Room Products Level II or III.
-Options of alternate breather widths available, 6" and 8" standard and alternate breather strip location.
